SETI (an acronym for Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) is a game of exploration and, ultimately, discovery. You know alien life is out there. You just have to find it. Through careful management of limited resources, you will launch probes, explore planets, listen to the stars, and advance science.

Each player controls a space exploration agency, relying on real-world technologies and techniques to unravel some of humanity’s greatest mysteries. Created by Tomáš Holek (Tea Garden, Galileo Galilei), SETI is a heavy eurogame designed for solo play or up to 4 players, ages 14 and up.

Over the course of 5 rounds, players will try to score the most victory points by performing actions, completing objectives, and interacting with discovered alien life. On each turn, players perform one main action and as many free actions as they wish.

Main actions include launching probes, orbiting a planet, landing on a planet or moon, scanning nearby stars, analyzing data, or researching technology. At certain points during the game, the solar system rotates, affecting probe positions and scanning actions.

One of SETI’s most unique features is that halfway through the game, up to two alien life forms are revealed, introducing new rules and new ways to score points. There are multiple alien species included in the box, so every game is a mystery as to what players will discover.
